International roots music awards

International Roots Music Awards is the competition whereby African music genres compete in this event by a points system. The awards celebrate traditional and contemporary roots music from across Africa, showcasing performers such as Maskandi and other roots artists. Running from 12 January 2026 to 7 March 2026 in Sundowner, Randburg (Northern Cape), South Africa, the event brings together fans and artists to recognize excellence across diverse African music styles. Tickets are available as 'Buy points' with a purchase limit per customer, enabling participation in the competition format and support for competing acts.
